The NBN Greenie Awards
Ah, ain't life grand. Most of the world's population is worried about whether their water is clean or if they'll have enough to eat, but we got lucky. We have all the necessities and more, plus we get to give out awards. So we decided to pick a name that wasn't so serious to make sure that we remember that there are bigger problems in the world than whether your produce is grown locally or your cookies are organic. Like malaria.

Nonetheless we can make a difference and many companies in our industry are showing others businesses the way. In that spirit we're proud to announce:

First Annual NBN Greenie Awards
To Be Presented At Natural Products Expo West
March, 2012, in Anaheim, California. Yet that one, where Mickey and Minnie live.

Nominations for companies producing outstanding products with an outstanding commitment to triple bottom line growth should be submitted. Those companies providing services to communities beyond their consumer marketplace will receive extra consideration.

We are seeking companies doing more than just adding solar panels to their warehouse or buying carbon offsets.

Not that we don't love those things, its just that the PR and tax advantages both might mean the idea started with the marketing or accounting teams and not with any social mission in mind.

In addition we will have awards for three retail categories, as well as three distributor categories.
